Combine a half-day open vehicle safari with a ranger, in what is regarded as Africa’s oldest game reserve, tracking the “Big 5” (elephant, lion, leopard, rhinoceros and buffalo), as well as cheetah, hyena, wild dog, zebra, giraffe, various buck and antelope, warthog and abundant bird life with one of our fabulous extra options:
(1) a 2-hour ferry cruise in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park (South Africa’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site) to view hippos, crocodiles and various bird life in their natural habitat
(2) a guided tour of the enclosures at the Emdoneni Wild Cat & Cheetah Centre to learn all about these magnificent felines and the rehabilitation work undertaken by the Centre
(3) the educational, touch and feed experience with Bayete Lodge resident elephants Rambo and Rachel is something that will touch your heart forever! Learn all about the rescue of this majestic duo, look inside Rambo’s mouth and pose for photos with him and Rachel. And you wont believe how fast Rambo can drink a bucket of water!
